How To Prepare For Your Hike

Clothing Tips for Your Hike

  • Wear Comfortable Clothing and Shoes: Choose breathable, moisture-wicking clothing and avoid brand new shoes to prevent blisters. Break in new shoes by walking around in them before the hike.

  • Dress in Layers: Mountain weather can change quickly, so dress in layers to stay comfortable. Check the weather forecast in the morning. It may be warm in the city, but it can get chilly near glacial lakes and summits. Bring a sweater or windproof jacket.

  • Pack Extra Socks: Hiking with wet feet is uncomfortable, so bring an extra pair of socks to keep your feet dry and happy.

Physical Preparation for Your Hike

  • Stay Hydrated and Rested: Drink plenty of water and get a good night's sleep before the hike.

Questionnaire

  • To ensure you have the best experience possible and we have all the necessary information to keep you safe, you will need to fill out a questionnaire form before the hike. This form will help us understand any health concerns, dietary restrictions, and other important details. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, and this information will allow us to tailor the hike to your needs.

Online Waiver

  • Before your hike, you'll need to complete an online waiver form. This waiver is essential for ensuring your safety and confirming your understanding of the risks associated with hiking. It includes important information about the hike, your health, and any special requirements.
