The summit offers an incredible vantage point, perfect for taking in the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest landscape. 1. Trailhead and Initial Ascent: Begin your adventure at the trailhead, located at the end of Chilliwack Lake Road. The hike starts with a well-marked path that quickly ascends through a lush forest. As you start your climb, the sounds of nature will surround you, and you'll notice the cool, fresh air typical of the Pacific Northwest. 2. Forest Climb and Scenic Views: As you continue, the trail winds through dense forests of cedar and fir. After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of steady climbing, you'll reach a clearing where the trees thin out, revealing your first panoramic views. Take a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys. 3. Alpine Meadows and Rock Scramble: Moving further along the trail, you'll enter a picturesque alpine meadow. Here, wildflowers often bloom in vibrant colors, adding to the stunning scenery. The terrain becomes more rugged as you approach the rocky sections of the trail. Be prepared for a bit of scrambling, but the effort is rewarded with breathtaking views. 4. Ascent to Lady Peak: The final stretch takes you to Lady Peak, a challenging but rewarding climb. The trail becomes steeper and rockier, requiring careful navigation.
